The twin-channel MADYN D61 is designed to offer electrotherapy using all types of diadynamic currents. In addition, its capabilities include microcurrents, Kotz', Trabert's, undulating, galvanic, and intermittent galvanic currents. The unit's memory contains a bank of 34 therapeutic programs (each with several subprograms) used for the most common ailments and injuries. User's own settings can be stored in the memory. The unit is capable of operating in CC (constant current) and CV (constant voltage) modes. Its features include electrodiagnostics (I/t curve) and electrode wear measurement.

1. Multifunctionality

The Madyn D61 is designed to perform electrotherapy. In addition, it features automatic electrodiagnostics, i.e. drawing of an I/t (Strength-Duration) curve. The unit's functionality in enhanced with the capability of storing set parameters for future reuse. Therapy of typical ailments can employ one of the built-in therapy programs consisting of a number of successive therapeutic procedures. Moreover, user's own therapy programs can be created and stored in the unit's memory.

A new feature of the D6 series units is the electrode resistance measurement. It is done with leads specially designed for this purpose, colored blue. One wire is connected to an electrode, the other to a spot electrode. The measurement is done by applying and slightly pressing the spot electrode to the surface of the silicon electrode

2. Full twin-channel capability

With its modern twin-channel design, the Madyn D61 permits performing simultaneous therapy on two patients.

3. CC and CV modes

The unit can operate in two modes: constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV). The difference lies in the parameter that is stabilized - for CC the current is maintained stable, for CV - it is voltage. The CV mode is available only for currents generated in one channel (and thus not for, e.g. interferential currents) and is used for contact work (e.g. with simultaneous electrotherapy and ultrasound therapy).

4. Built-in therapy programs

The unit's memory contains a bank of therapy programs developed for most frequent ailments and injuries. In performing electrostimulation, users have at their disposal several therapy programs for each of 76 ailments.

5. User's program memory

The unit is capable of storing user's own therapy programs and waveforms in 40 cells of memory. A maximum of eight such sets can be stored. If a stored set is used, the unit will automatically switch currents during therapy.

6. Types of current generated

  • galvanic currents: galvanic continuous and intermittent,
  • medium frequency pulsed currents: MF, DF, CP, CP-ISO, LP, RS, MM,
  • medium frequency pulsed currents: with triangular, sinusoidal, rectangular envelopes (each envelope type available as unipolar or bipolar),
  • diadynamic currents: MF, DF, CP, CP ISO, LP, RS, MM,
  • neofaradic current,
  • Kotz' current (Russian stimulation),
  • modulated current 4000 Hz,
  • Trabert's current,
  • microcurrents (unipolar and bipolar).

7. Technical parameters

  • therapy duration: 0 - 99 min,
  • dimensions: 105 x 255 x 202 mm,
  • weight: 1.8 kg.

8. Automatic electrodiagnostic feature

Madyn D61 offers the capability of automatically calculating drawing an I/t curve and quantitative testing of the nervous-muscular system.
